ROVAL is a "room temperature zinc plating" that provides rust prevention effects
equivalent to hot-dip galvanizing.
Hot-dip galvanizing offers excellent rust prevention.
Hot-dip galvanizing is a process in which steel materials are immersed in a zinc bath heated to a high temperature of 460°C or higher to create a zinc coating on the surface.

Hot-dip galvanizing offers excellent rust prevention and is used in many places, such as bridges and transmission towers.

In the 1940s, researchers at Cambridge University began studying how to develop an alternative rust prevention method to hot-dip galvanizing.
"Robal" was developed based on the results of this research.
Unlike conventional hot-dip galvanizing, which is processed at high temperatures, this method can be applied at room temperature and anywhere, hence the name "room-temperature galvanizing."
By increasing the zinc content in the dried coating to 96%, it exhibits the same level of rust prevention as hot-dip galvanizing.
Furthermore, ROVAL achieves the look and feel of "zinc plating" with an easy-to-use, single-component paint. It has been used in a wide range of fields for over 50 years, from refreshing and repairing old zinc plating to replacing plating and even as rust-preventive coating for iron .
However, hot-dip galvanizing alone cannot address all rust prevention needs.
Because hot-dip galvanizing can only be done in factories with the necessary equipment,
it's not practical to re-galvanize when the plating ages and rust appears.
Applying ordinary paint to areas where the plating has worn off doesn't provide the same rust-preventive effect as galvanizing, and rust will quickly reappear. Furthermore, there are many situations where hot-dip galvanizing is unsuitable,
such as when you want to prevent rust in specific areas like cut or welded joints, or when protecting large objects that cannot be galvanized into the molten layer .
What was required was a strong rust-preventive effect and zinc plating that could be used at room temperature.
It can be used anywhere, yet its effectiveness is equivalent to hot-dip galvanizing.
Introducing ROVAL, a room-temperature zinc plating process.
Even in harsh, corrosive environments, its rust-preventive performance lasts for 18 years.

In extremely corrosive environments where a combination of general rust inhibitors and phthalic acid topcoats would rust in less than a year, ROVAL's superior rust-preventive capabilities have been proven.
ROVAL has been proven to have corrosion protection performance equivalent to that of hot-dip galvanizing.

With a zinc content of 96% , it will resist
rust for a long period of time .
Corrosion protection performance equivalent to the highest grade of hot-dip galvanizing (HDZT 77) has been proven in various tests.
Feature
Strong Anti Rust Effect
Feature
Ready to Use
It's single component type.
Simply apply it directly to iron or plated surfaces in two coats.

ROVAL is one-component type that requires no mixing.
No extra paint or tools are needed.
Moreover, it can be applied directly to the plated surface

Ideal for refreshing and repairing zinc plating
ROVAL does not require a primer and can be applied directly to galvanized surfaces, significantly shortening the painting process, improving work efficiency, and reducing project time.
It is also compatible with various metals such as stainless steel and ZAM steel plates.
*DO NOT USE PRIMER
The electrochemical rust-preventive effect cannot be achieved unless the coating is applied directly to the metal surface.
Feature
Short Construction Period/Low Cost
ROVAL dries quickly.
In a 23°C environment, you can apply a second coat in 30 minutes.
ROVAL dries in approximately 30 minutes at 23°C.
After the second coat, allow 24 hours for complete drying.
The following is a guideline for ambient temperature and ROVAL recoating intervals.
Moreover, it's a simple process that requires no primer or topcoat.
A job that normally takes 3 days can be done in just 1 day with ROVAL.
While general paints typically require 3-4 days for application, using ROVAL completes the job in just one day.
General paints involve primer, intermediate coat, and topcoat applications, each requiring a curing period.
ROVAL, on the other hand, requires only two coats with a 30-60 minute interval between coats. This reduces the application time by approximately one-third compared to general paints.
Furthermore, compared to Class 5 paint systems, the highest rank among rust prevention measures,
it achieves equivalent effectiveness while reducing the application time by one-quarter.
